How to lose weight? Calories matter and counting calories can help. The method to lose weight by counting calories involves understanding caloric needs and metabolism. Start by taking your weight multiply by 16Kcal a day, every day for a week, such as, 150 lbs x 16kcals = 2400 calories / day for one week. If there is loss of weight, caloric keep up that level for the second week.

If there is no weight loss, cut the number of calories 500. 2400-500 = 1900 per day for a week. If there is weight loss claim that calorie intake for another week or until you reach your goal. If there is no weight loss, cut other 500 calories per day for a week and see the same thing. Not immediately release a 2000 calorie a day diet as this will lead to feelings of hunger and increase the potential of binge eating or cheating.
